Most of the Nationals are at dirt bike tracks. They don’t seem to be ATV friendly, will that change?
Many tracks are already going to an ATV style layout, rounding the jumps, building bigger landing ramps – somewhat like a BMX style track. This will definitely change.
What do you think about manufacture involvement this year, good or bad?
Good, look at Supercross. Without manufacture involvement there wouldn’t be stadiums packed full of people. They give the sport to the people through advertising.
ATVs are lined up with Monster Trucks. The Promoters stage shows. Some people think ATV racing is a show.
Do you think ATV racing has improved?
It’s improved, but there’s more to do before it blossoms. Some people are getting board with the dirt bikes. We need to give them something new.
In the next few years will this sport match the level dirt bikes are at?
If we let it.
It seems like ATV racing needs a spokes person like MC.
Who knows the guys in our sport? The people that race. Kids see dirt bikes on television and that’s what they go out and get. People wouldn’t know one of our Pros out on the street. We need more press coverage for sure.
