How to start racing your ATV
by Racer450 Staff

New race tracks and events that cater to the ATV crowd seem to be popping up all over the country; ATVs must be the latest craze. You may have even caught ATVs racing on television thanks to the good guys over at OLN. ATV racing is catching on like wild fire; you must have the bug, so why not try it out?

It doesn’t take much to get started, just a few dollars and a little bit of planning.

Here’s 4 easy steps to get you started:
Pre-Planning, you need figure out what kind of ATV racing you like the best. Luckily, there are several different styles and I don’t mean clean or dirty.
The first step in racing should always be your personal safety. With a few protective accessories you can be looking cool and playing it safe.
There are a few mandatory parts you’ll need that wont break the bank and will make your machine look the part even if you decide racing isn’t your bag.
Lastly, you need to make sure your machine will last the night. This helps you have a more enjoyable race and it keeps your lazy friends setting on your tailgate and off the track pushing your ride back to the truck.

I can almost smell the mud and premix, let’s get going.
