Back at the podium a few minutes after the race ended the crowd gathered and GNC announcer Mark Straubinger interviewed Gust, Jones and Natalie in front of ATV Sport television which can be seen on OLN in mid-April.

John Natalie gave a short thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend and on the seriousness of competition this year – “These guys are ready this year; I need to get back home and train my butt off. Consistency is what is going to get it this year and you'll need to be in excellent shape for that”.

Jones was accompanied at the podium by fiancé Jamie Renz and made it clear he expected to be seen on the podium more this year and he would continue to charge with efforts of winning the series.

Gust offered thanks to his Suzuki crew and sponsors and stated, "I was surprised. This is a hard, fast track, and it's really not my style. I like a sandy rough track more. I thought I would have my work cut out for me today. It really went better than I would have thought.
