Life on the wild side
By: Racer 450 Staff

So you want to know what it’s like to live life on the wild side? Then you need to go to the nearest pro motocross race. That’s where you will find a new experience that you can really get in to. You might expect that you would find the same kind of things that you could see at your local fair. Well, you might catch a glimpse of the same type of things, just on a much larger better built scale. However, you shouldn’t expect to see the same type of thing that you saw the last time the Supercross series was near you. There won’t be any indoor arena with seating for 20,000 people. You will notice some bleachers and a fence.

Well, we should start as you enter the area. Don’t expect to just be driving down the highway and look over to see the pro tracks. That’s right, if you want to go you need to get directions, because the tracks are located in the countryside. After you do finally find the track, you will be expected to pay your way in which will cost around 15 to 20 dollars per person. That isn’t too bad considering that this will give you full access to the pit area also. As you enter, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability stating that the track owners and their affiliates aren’t responsible if something should happen and you get hurt.

When you get into the track area you will notice lots of trailers right up front, those are going to be the pro pits. Feel free to take a stroll through the pro pits, after all your entry fee allows you to roam free. However, you can’t get out on the track. As you are walking around you might notice that some of the top pros will be out and about and their mechanics will be washing their machines for the next moto.

Don’t be afraid to bring the kids along to the races, because for the most part racing is a family affair. That’s right you will notice that almost all of the riders have their family with them at the track. Don’t be afraid to walk up and just start talking to people either because most of the people that are there are just like you and me. They come to enjoy the races and to compete in the events. Most of them have jobs at home that they have to go back to when they get home.

As you walk around you will see the large track laid out in front of you. Go ahead and take a seat in the stands and get ready for some great action. There is no substitute for going to the races in person and seeing your favorite riders in person going head to head in an all out battle to be the best!!
