Fox FLOAT AirShox Suspension

Where do we begin? Unlike the current triple rate phenomenon, Fox threw the springs in the trash and started with a clean slate. These new shox (shocks) use air pressure apposed to traditional spring and valve techniques to deliver your preferred spring rate setup. At around 3 pounds each they are also significantly lighter. Although skeptical at first, we've become firm believers that Fox is definitely on to something. Expect a full review next month. In the meantime, float over to Fox's web site:

Hinson Racing Clutch Covers

Thankfully, Honda and Yamaha answered a lot of racer’s prayers by adding a removable clutch cover to their new 450s this year. Hinson originated the idea on ATVs a few years back and was the first to push the envelope again. Hinson and company are offering a cool bolt-on replacement clutch cover that should help with heat dissipation. Plus, it has the Hinson name “no stickers needed”. For more info contact:

ITP Holeshot MXR4

ITP continually raises the bar on their motocross line of ATV tires so often it must be some kind of industry record. Their newest notch is the MXR4 which, was developed with input from the factory supported race teams. The big changes include a stiffened knob and reinforced carcass resulting in less knob flex and more consistent cornering. Traction has also been improved as well as tread life. New sizes designed for sandy tracks like Southwick have also been included this year. Sizes include: 18x10-8, 18x10-9, 19x10-9 and 19x10-10. Look for a full review in an upcoming issue.

Yoshimura LT-Z400 450cc Big Bore Kit

According to the critics, Suzuki’s Z400 would be at disadvantage in the pro ranks for 04’. Leave it to Yoshimura to prove them wrong. Suzuki has won an astonishing all but one pro Motocross overall the season using a Yoshimura built engine that features their 450cc big bore kit. This kit features a 92mm forged aluminum piston, sleeve re-plating, 5mm offset crank pin and special head and base gaskets. This engine kit works great with Yoshi’s Pro Series Titanium exhaust system, and is currently used by Team Suzuki pro riders Doug Gust and William Yokley.

VP Racing Fuels U4

VP continues to dominate nearly all race fuel markets because of their on going research in marketing to specific applications like ATVs and Dirt Bikes. Their newest product U4 “formerly Ultimate 4” continues the trend by giving small displacement four-stroke engines a major performance gain comparable to that in the ever popular MR8 fuel for about half the cost. Two stroke guys can’t complain because there is also a slightly higher octane version appropriately titled U2 “not the band” for today’s high performance power valve equipped two-stroke engines. VP is endorsed by Team Honda’s motocross teams, so how can you go wrong? For the stats contact:
