Tavis Cain: #6 is ready to roll
By: Ryan Webb

R450: How do you like riding for Duncan?
Tavis: I started with them. I've rode for them the whole time I've been doing the nationals. I never want to leave, no matter what. Loren is a great guy to deal with, and they treat me really good. They're great to be around, and we all have fun. It's a great program that we have going. They keep my quad up really well too.

R450: So what are you looking to achieve this year as far as the nationals go?
Tavis: I want to finish in the top five. I'm running in sixth right now. I think that fifth is going to be hard to catch. I need to get another podium or two and remain consistent. That is really the key to the pro production class. We're doing that so we should be okay. We've never finished out of the top ten yet. We've been keeping the bike together and running well. I just need to be consistent and have good finishes. Top five is my goal, and hopefully, we will meet it.

R450: You have a pretty good shot. You've been smooth and consistent at all of the races.
Tavis: My training has doubled, tripled even from the years past. Just getting used to the four-stroke power finally. I feel like I can ride it better and a little stronger than I could my two-stroke. Like I said before a lot more training!

R450: What do you do for training?
Tavis: Just ride. I used to lift and run. I run a little bit still, you know if it's raining, I'll run on the treadmill three or four miles. Mostly though I just ride every day that I can. The biggest part of the guys out here just ride to train.
