This season will go down in the history books under a headline topic labeled “Doug Gust”. Going into Red Bud Doug was well on top of the points battle and no expected that to change any time soon. In the first moto Doug didn’t manage a holeshot but quickly worked towards the front just behind early race leader Kory Ellis. Doug managed a quick pass in a technical section of the track to take over the lead. That’s about the end of the story for the first moto. Doug overwhelmed the rest of the competition by riding a errorless moto and pulling ground on the field with every lap and rolled into the checkers nearly 20 seconds ahead of the second place rider John Natalie.

This Month's Useless Information - USPS
Racer 450 experienced some thumbs down service from the United States Postal Service this month and we needed a place to blow off some steam.

One of our test ATVs was in need of some extra power so we dropped it off with Titan Engines a couple weeks back. One key power ingredient "a new Ross Piston" arrived a few days after we had already sent off the ATV, so as soon as it arrived we sent it out to Titan via USPS, "we had already missed the UPS deadline for the day and needed it to go out fast". Well the 2nd day delivery day came and went, and so did a few more days. So we decided to do the smart thing and track our shipment.

Turns out, our piston was lost but was somewhere in Iowa, not Illinois. The postmaster told us if it didn't return in 30 days they could do something. Since they were confident that the piston was not lost, just misplaced there is no insurance.

Here's a tip: Use UPS or FEDEX, Any Government ran service is bound to leave you walking bow-legged.
