Pit Stop: with Jason Luburgh
By: Ryan Webb
R450: I didn't know whether you would say Gatorback or Casey because of what happened.
Jason: I like Casey. I think that they need some maintenance. I mean they don't even have a dozer at that track. The track is nice. It could use a lot of work, but it is nice. I want to go back there. What happened has nothing to do with the track.
R450: What do you do other than racing?
Jason: I work for my dad's construction business doing dirt-work. I run equipment. This is pretty much a full time job right now. I just try to ride every day and keep in shape and keep up with these factory guys.
R450: What do you do for training?
Jason: I just try to ride every day. I have a track right next to my race shop. I ride a dirtbike when my quad is broke. I ride my quad the rest of the time.
R450: What do you do to train in the winter?
Jason: It's tough. I work out a lot and do a lot of cardiovascular. I try to ride some, but you can't really ride much in the winter in Ohio. I do an all around workout. I don't try to bulk up because that won't help me. I don't drink any soda or anything like that.
R450: Do you have any advice for anyone coming up through the ranks?
Jason: The best thing I can think of is to watch and see what us pros are doing and make adjustments from there. Don't be afraid to change. I change things every race. You can learn a lot from watching other people. Take your time and don't be afraid to try new things. Instead of just going through the motions and following the same lines, you need to try new things.
/ Thanks for talking to us Jason and good luck with the rest of the season. I hope that you won't have any more problems like you did at Casey. /
