So how much larger are these reservoirs going to get? (laughs)
They’re hard to fit on bikes now! (laughs) We’ll keep making them in different lengths to accommodate different bikes; I don’t think they’ll get any larger.

PEP rider Tim Farr at Red Bud

Do PEP shocks offer enough adjustment that the average customer can make it through a whole season with making any spring or valve changes?
Yes, that’s true for about 99% of the riders. We have the capability to make any change, and some of the Pro riders like to play with that, but it’s rarely necessary.

Do you work with many of the chassis or component companies when building new shocks?
I work with several. Laeger, JB Racing, Lonestar Racing and Walsh Race Craft to name a few.

What do you think about production classes, is that headed in the right direction?
Oh yeah, definitely.

Do you think OEM bikes have stepped the Pro Class back notch from last year’s machines?
I think the OEM Manufactures have actually done a phenomenal job.

Some of the riders have mentioned to us that they feel they have stepped down.
I don’t agree, as far as the geometry goes, I think it has been adapted well. Just looked at Doug, he has proven a lot of people wrong this year.

How about shock lengths, haven’t you had to shorten them a bit?
We’ve tried the longer shocks but they had some negative results.

Do you think there will be any major OEM chassis changes in the near future?
I think everyone made a good effort this year and there may be small adjustments, that’s it for a while.

Do you see OEM frames following the dirt bikes and going to a full alloy construction any time soon?
I wouldn’t count that out.
