Just two weeks after Mt. Morris Team Suzuki entered round 10 with a totally different perspective than the prior nine races. Doug Gust had the chance to take home the championship this Sunday, two races before the season closer at Loretta Lynn’s Dirt Days. All Doug needed was a podium spot or a mid-pack finish for his closest challenger, John Natalie.

Moto 1:
As luck would have it, a major down-poor hit London just before moto 1 making for a sloppy but eventful race. Jason Luburgh pulled the holeshot and carried a short lived lead before nailing a fence and making a clean exit over the bars. Jeremiah Jones picked up the lead followed by Tim Farr and Doug Gust.

Jeremiah continued the lead and was setting lap time to beat until an over anxious mistake allowed Farr to take over first followed by Gust in second. Jeremiah was able to maintain a third place finish hot on Gust’s tail. Fourth spot went to up and coming Dustin Wimmer who has quickly made a name for himself this season and fifth went to Tavis Cain.
