Angela Moore:
Girl Gone Wild - The Seized Interview
By: Racer 450 Staff

R450: So what brought you out there?
Angela: I went to work for Lonestar Racing, they’ve sponsored me for 6 years now.

R450: How did you get hooked up with MAXXIS?
Angela: I sent them a resume and it has just evolved.

R450: So you’re on a Lonestar CRF, when did you move to that?
Angela: I moved from the 250r to a 400ex four years ago and went to the CRF last year.

R450: So you like the 4 strokes.
Angela: Oh yeah, I don’t feel comfortable on a two stroke any more.

R450: What about running in the guy classes?
Angela: If you ride with faster people you get faster. I learn a lot each time I go out there.

R450: How do the guys feel?
Angela: The majority of guys are cool with it and we’re friends. Some guys don’t want me out there at all.

R450: Do you think the ATVA needs to do any changes in the women classes?
Angela: There was some negative talk about downgrading back to the way it use to be but I don’t think it will happen. What would help, and Heather (Heather Byrd) has the same opinion, is to change the A name to Pro Am. Just to get some better recognition.

R450: Has anyone spoken to the ATVA about it?
Angela: We continually talk to Doug Morris about it, to your face it seems like something is going to happen but they always back off. (lots of laughs)

/ Some jokes are cracked and a lot of laughter ensues for about 5 minutes /

R450: Is there any ATVA rules you agree with?
Angela: No comment – it seems like they try. The whole rule change on the track thing – that’s ridiculous. Add one, take it away! A couple people have just had examples made from them this year. You can’t do that to people.

At Red Bud we got in trouble for doing donuts in the parking lot, the first one was by accident! The promoter came up yelling, we apologized, he tried hitting us. Kind of a “I’m pretending I’m going to hit you”. Then he reached in the car and tried to take the keys. Ray came over and explained who we are and he said Ok you can go. When we were leaving I threw out a can of soda and it hit the guy in his, you know, his “PART”. Needless to say, he wasn’t to happy again!

/ 10 minutes of laughter ensues /

Angela: Then he called me a f*****g b***h. We had witnesses and gave our story to the ATVA but me and Scott got suspended for 15 days. I wasn’t allowed to ride at Casey, Illinois. We already had our plain tickets and we had to eat the expense.

R450: Sounds like another Luburgh story. (laughs)
Angela: Yeah- blah, blah, blah… (laughs)

Angela: Who do you know that has gotten suspended? No one! Skylar Stewart got scored wrong and the score keepers admitted they made a mistake but Smitty wouldn’t change it.
