Now we come to the meat of the track, be prepared to hold on as you hit the tabletop that is about 80 feet long. Some of you might think that isn’t that impressive, but it is around eight feet high and throws you about eight feet higher to clear the whole jump. All in all, you end up about sixteen feet off of the ground below on either side of the jump. However, if you cleared the jump, it looked to be just as smooth as silk. Coming off of the tabletop, you enter a right 180 that leads you to a step-up double/triple, depending on how you hit it. Most of the people that were hitting this thing were doubling over and singling off. Although, as Joe Byrd proved in Moto 2 you could gain lots of time by just tripling over the whole thing. Then you come to a small straight followed by another set of doubles. This led you into a sharp left 90. This section was a little rough and had a kicker on the inside of the left 90. Then there is a slow sweeping left that brings you to a built up right 45 that is off camber. After that you come down to a straight alongside the small pond with a small single in the middle of it. The next turn is a long sweeping right 180 that is bermed to the outside and banked. All through the next straight it is very rough and at the end has some braking bumps.

Once you make it through the straight, there is a sharp left 180 that brings you back toward the stands and announce tower. You come uphill to a double and go directly into the next double. After that you come to a single that lands you on a slight downhill to take the flag. After the landing you will have to make a left 90 that ends with a lip to start you into a rhythm section of three doubles that everyone seemed to have a hard time keeping their rhythm on. Straight out of that you will have to make a right 90 across the initial straight that followed the start. From here is a long straight that leads into a hairpin left 180 followed by a straight that has the same length as the other side. It then veers to the right just a bit and you pick up where you had the left 90 after the start.

Well, now you will know what to expect to see if you can manage to save your pennies and hit the final round of motocross racing at Loretta Lynn’s next year. Don’t be surprised to see somewhere between 800 and 1000 entries at the track next year. Besides, while you are enjoying the race you can step back to vendor row and buy a T-shirt, some barbecue, and a cappuccino. Now that is upscale for motocross.
