R450: When the TT and MX were split, how did you feel about that?
Daryl: I don’t see that much of the motocross, I’m 37 years old and I don’t have the time or the dedication to do all the motocross also.

R450: You’re running a lot of your own parts, what parts are you making at the shop now?
Daryl: Bumpers, nerfbars, steering stems, billet stuff, just about anything. We have a full machine shop and fab shop. These are our a-arms (points to the Predator he will be running in the pro class later today).

R450: Not just Polaris parts right.
Daryl: No we make stuff for almost everything, especially the new 450cc machines.

R450: What changes do you see happening in the ATV world the over next couple years?
Daryl: It’s looking good; we’ll progress to the dirt bike world.

R450: What about racing?
Daryl: It will grow, everybody said TT would die, look at it.

R450: Do you think we’ll see a Super Moto style TT?
Daryl: I think that would be neat, I think the guys would like it.

R450: Tell me about this pipe. (all black White Brothers Carbon Fiber)
Daryl: White Brothers builds the Pure Polaris pipes, they also build this one for me. It’s a Daryl Rath Signature Series. It’s a carbon fiber canister with a billet cap that’s anodized black. It’s actually the only one right now. It’s attached to our shop’s head pipe.

R450: There’s all kinds of trick parts on this thing, tell me about it.
Daryl: It has a lot of our stuff: head pipe, anti-vibe stem, a-arms, graphics. I’m running the Fox Float Shox all the way around.

R450: What are your plans for next year?
Daryl: We’re looking at what we may do next year. I enjoy the indoor series, the TT schedule, the Virginia Beach Race and the International Races in the Dominican Republic.
