As the race wound down, not much had changed. A tight pack led the field with Hitt and Farr both looking for first with Little and Goodman close behind. Hitt was able to take home a deserved win and Farr captured second and was able to stay ahead of Keith Little in points, maintaining his overall lead. After the race Farr said he wanted the win and had speed on Hitt who was still recovering from a tremendous foot injury. The track was wide open and not very technical, Hitt was able to stay consistent and set a pace fast enough that Farr could not make a pass unless Hitt made a mistake. By the way, the pace looked to be around 70 miles per hour.
