Jeremiah Jones: Suzuki’s New Catch
By: Ryan Webb
Racer 450 spoke with Jeremiah Jones at the ATV World’s Fair in Louisville, KY while he was making his first public appearance with Team Suzuki. Jeremiah talked about highlights from last year, new alliances and his place on the new ATV super team.
R450: How do you like the idea of riding for Suzuki?
Jeremiah: Working with Suzuki, I think, is going to be great. They have got a very good team. Their factory support is probably the best that you will ever get. The way that they do things is probably the best thing for the whole sport and me.
R450: Do you think that the extra help in the pits will help you focus on the races and help out with your racing.
Jeremiah: Definitely, the people that they have helping out will make it easier on me. Especially, since the help we had last year was basically slim to none. We definitely needed more help last year. It shows that with the more help that you get, the better off you will be.
R450: Do you think that you and Doug will have a little bit of rivalry for the top or are you guys just going to hang back and look out for each other.
Jeremiah: Yeah, we’ve already joked about that. But, things don’t bother me that much. If someone is going to beat me then that is the way that it is. I’m sure that Doug is the same way. We are just going to go out there and do our job. If you give 100% then there shouldn’t be any conflict between the riders. We just want to go out and win races. I don’t know Doug all that well, but I don’t think that there will be any conflict. I just want to go out and have fun. I also want to race to make a living.
