Coming off of the gate in moto 1 Keith Little manages to pull a solid holeshot to take the lead. Luburgh manages to come up with the second place position followed by Jones in third. Travis Spader comes out with the fourth place spot, and Tim Farr is running fifth. Tim got passed by Wimmer, which puts him back in sixth place. Natalie is running seventh. Dunkelberger is running eighth. Tavis is in ninth and Doug is in tenth. Jones is running right on Luburgh’s tail and Keith maintains a commanding lead. Doug managed to get around Tavis Cain to take over ninth position and is starting to pull away from him. Kory Ellis is in eleventh position and gaining on Tavis. Positions stay this way for a few laps. The only thing that is really going on is that Keith is continuing to pull away from second place. Wimmer comes up and passes Spader to take over fourth position. Doug is making a real push for position on Dunk. Keith is still running solid in first place and the battle for second continues. Further back in the pack, Doug is still riding Dunk for position, just looking for a place to make the pass. Ellis manages to get around Tavis.

Everyone seems to be handling the muddy track well. Tim is pressuring Spader for the fifth place spot. Doug got around Dunk for eighth and Ellis is coming up hard to fight Dunk for position. The leaders still remain Keith Little out front with a massive lead, followed by Jason Luburgh and then Jeremiah Jones. Wimmer is running fourth and Tim managed to take over fifth from Spader. Natalie is running seventh followed by Doug Gust. Jones managed to make the pass on Jason Luburgh for second. Keith is just tearing up this track and keeping an amazing lead. Running through the last lap first five positions are the same, but Natalie is fighting hard to take over sixth place from Travis Spader. Natalie managed to get around Spader to get sixth place from Spader who is now in seventh. Doug is still running eighth, way ahead of Dunk. Following Dunk is Ellis, then Tavis, and in twelfth is Greg Meeks. Harold Goodman running just ahead of Joe Byrd. Just like in moto 1 at Glen Helen, someone took the holeshot and then took over for the win. However, this time it is Keith Little on the Lonestar YFZ.
