R450: Other than the mud, what do you think of the track here at Texas?
John: Overall, I don’t think that it is a very raceable track at all. The backstretch is too narrow. There isn’t enough passing through the switchbacks. It is definitely a one-line track. Granted, the rain made it even worse.
R450: What did you think of the stadium series this year?
John: The tracks were really good this year, because they were geared more toward the quads. They were a lot more technical this year. I think that it is going in the right direction, and in another year or two, I think that we will have another whole series that is like the supercross.
R450: I know that you won four out of the five races, which was the one that you didn’t win?
John: At Anaheim, I crashed in the corner and almost got lapped and ended up coming back and getting seventh.
R450: What did you think of Glen Helen and the changes that they made to the track this year?
John: I liked the way the track was last year a lot better. I thought that it was a bit dumb the way that they made the mounds in the corners. The setup all together didn’t seem to be as good this year as it was last year.
R450: How do you like the Honda?
John: I really like the Honda. I think that the power is a whole lot better. The front end is a whole lot better. We’ve been working on some stuff for the rear. I think that the whole thing is just a better bike. I think that it is more reliable also. That is a main thing that you finish every race.
R450: What do you think about the Fox Float Shox?
John: The shocks are awesome. They are no doubt the best that I have ever ridden on. We are still in the developmental stages. We are just making them better every time we get on them. I think that it is going to be the wave of the future.
