Gust definitely has the speed and the rhythm through the whoops, but Natalie is taking better lines through much of the track. Farr manages to move past Byrd, but can’t seem to pull away. Gust is still in the lead, but Natalie is all over him like white on rice. However, Banger seems to be extremely interested in the fact that Pat Brown is fighting for position. Also, he can’t seem to figure out which jump is actually LaRocco’s Leap. I’ve heard him call three different jumps the leap. Natalie makes a mistake and Gust pulls away just a little bit. With just a couple of laps to go, Ellis tries to make a move on Jones, but can’t quite get it done. Dana Creech pulled off of the track, because of motor problems. Brown after about five laps of trying managed to get around Dunk.

On the last lap it is Gust, Natalie, Jones, and Ellis in the top four spots. Ellis is pressuring Jones and Gust continues to hold off Natalie. Joe Byrd is riding hard on Tim Farr’s tail. Dustin Wimmer ran into more problems and fell back to the back of the pack. Jones is managing to hold of Ellis. Gust is pulling away in the front of the pack and will take the checkered flag for first in Moto 1. Natalie gets second and Jones comes in for third.

Moto 1 was interesting, but lets see what happens in Moto 2.

Coming off of the gate, Gust manages to pull the holeshot again, followed by Ellis and then Natalie. Jones falls back into the back of the pack. Little is behind Natalie with Farr just behind him. Ellis went off of the track and Natalie got around him. He got back on the track behind Little. Farr is on his tail. Natalie manages to push his way around Gust. Natalie is now running in first with Gust riding hard behind him. Little is behind Gust, followed by Ellis and then Farr. Joe Byrd has managed to work his way onto Farr’s bumper. Tavis Cain is making a strong showing running in seventh. Jones is still way back in the pack. Gust continues to work on Natalie. Natalie is taking those good lines through the main part of the track, but Gust is faster through the whoops.
